L&L Exhibits at Furnaces North America 2018 in Indianapolis

L&L Special Furnace Co., Inc., attended and exhibited at the Furnaces North America show in Indianapolis, IN. FNA 2018 is MTI’s premier business and technical show held every other year. The Fall Meeting was held at the Marriott Hotel Downtown Indy and the Indiana Convention Center on October 8-10. The show was attended by various furnace manufacturers and supppliers to the heat treating industry.

Present were many different furnace manufacturers along with alloy, refractory, control, services and many other suppliers of various items used in the heat treat field. The exhibitors were very diversified and it made for a very interesting show to both exhibitors and attendees alike.

The central location in Indianapolis made the show attractive for attendees from both the east coast and west coast. The show duration over two days made the attendance both brisk and steady.

L&L had the opportunity to meet potential new customers as well as existing customers during the event. The show included technical sessions of various heat treating processes and techniques which was valuable for both Engineering staff and anyone wanting to learn a bit more about heat treating.

L&L’s Design Engineer David Cunningham was also recognized by Heat Treat Today with an honorable mention for the 40 under 40 club. This is a recognition, new in 2018, for young people in the industry that have outstanding achievements for various duties and engineering accomplishments. In particular, Dave has been involved with implementing a SCADA system for control standardization with one of L&L’s main customers among many other unique design concepts. Dave was selected from among hundreds of nominations to receive this award.
